I've just noticed that this page downplays the hassle involved in
arranging for a Windows PuTTY to support multiple connections per
process at all. Although `remove-statics' is long since done, it
only covers the cross-platform code, and the Windows _front end_
still has just as many statics as ever, if not more.

CVS revision numbers, stored as `cvs2svn:cvs-rev' properties, are a
useful piece of history in this repository but we don't want to
preserve their latest values on future commits. Accordingly, I'm
deleting them from all active development (though not from past
release branches).

Maybe, just maybe, if we mention `tabbed windows' in the summary, fewer
people will write in about them.
This form allows you to request diffs between any two revisions of this file.
For each of the two "sides" of the diff,
